Regional recovery hub
In partnership with the Division of Mental Health and Addiction, the WVRC is the designated Regional Recovery Hub for Region 4, covering 10 counties in Southwest Indiana. Indiana’s Regional Recovery Hubs expand our ability to connect Hoosiers with mental health and substance use disorders to treatment and recovery supports through Certified Peer Support Professionals. Regional Recovery Hubs assist individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns regardless of where someone is in their recovery journey.

CLEAR (Choose Law Enforcement Assisted Recovery)
CLEAR is a program designed to assist eligible low level substance related offenders by providing an opportunity to engage in recovery services. The goal of the CLEAR program is to reduce the number of people involved in the criminal justice system and disrupt they cyclical pattern of recidivism. This is a voluntary program in partnership with the Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office and participants may receive reduced penalties by successful completion of the program. Participants may be referred by an officer during an arrest or by contacting the WVRC to discuss eligibility.
INSPIRE (Incarceration Support and Peer Recovery Engagement)
Our INCARCERATION SUPPORT AND PEER RECOVERY EMPOWERMENT or INSPIRE Program provides reentry support to incarcerated men and women in the Vigo, Parke, Vermillion, and Clay County jails. Participants in the INSPIRE program receive regular one-on-one meetings with a recovery coach who provides reentry support by providing resources to overcome barriers to recovery. Participants begin meeting with a recovery coach during incarceration and continue receiving support after release.
Community Outreach Program
The WVRC believes in compassion, connection, and access to safe resources. Engaging people who use drugs with empathy and consistency-wherever they are in their recovery-improves health outcomes, strengthens community connections, and saves lives.
Lyft transportation
Transportation is available through our Lyft program to help people with a limited number of rides related to SAMHSA’s four dimensions of wellness: Home, Health, Purpose, and Community. To schedule a ride, contact our transportation coordinator at 812-917-0068.
Parent, Youth and Family Peer Support
Incorporation of family members and loved ones in recovery is proven to lead to better outcomes for everyone. Through our Parent and Family Peer, Family Peer, and Youth Peer roles, we connect individuals with lived experience who understand the unique dynamics of family recovery. These peers walk alongside family members supporting their loved one in recovery, parents and caregivers who need recovery support, and youth and adolescents offering guidance, emotional support, advocacy, and access to resources that strengthen relationships and promote healing. Whether it’s navigating the stress of a loved one’s substance use, finding hope in recovery, or creating new patterns of communication and trust, our team helps families build a foundation for long-term wellness together.
